Official opening of Dino Polska S.A.’s distribution center in Łobez

The official opening of Dino Polska S.A.’s fifth distribution center in Łobez in the Western Pomeranian Voivodship took place on 8 June 2020 with local authorities in attendance. This new distribution center will be responsible for delivering goods to the rapidly growing number of Dino stores and supporting its network’s ongoing geographic expansion.

Dino Polska S.A.’s new distribution center in Łobez has a total of 47 thousand square meters of space. It has a freezer, refrigerated storage area, controlled-temperature warehouses, dry goods warehouse and social and office space with the accompanying technical infrastructure, internal roads and parking spots.

This investment has employed a number of technological solutions in line with the environmental policy endorsed by Dino Polska S.A., which is predicated on conserving and rationally utilizing natural resources. Therefore, the distribution center in Łobez is outfitted with LED lighting with a management system to reduce energy consumption and enhance the comfort of lighting usage and a transloading system to cut substantially the level of losses of cold and heat when loading and unloading warehouse deliveries. CO2 is used in the cooling installations.

The distribution center in Łobez will supply fresh products to Dino stores every day of the week (save for Sundays). The Company endeavors for the products on the shelves in Dino stores to originate from Polish producers to the greatest extent possible, thereby traversing the shortest possible path to the distribution center. For that reason launching a new distribution center in Łobez is also an opportunity to establish commercial cooperation with new regional producers.

Dino is a nationwide network of medium-sized supermarkets located in close proximity to where customers live. Its grocery stores are open every day (except for non-trade Sundays) from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.1. The Dino network is one of the fastest growing retail grocery trade networks in Poland. At the end of September 2020 it consisted of 1,371 stores across Poland.

The Dino Group’s business model blends the advantages offered by the format of conveniently-located mid-sized supermarkets with the capability of rapidly opening new stores and offering an attractive assortment primarily entailing attractively-priced branded and fresh products.

Dino stores offer customers approximately 5 thousand stock keeping units (SKUs). The Dino Group’s logistics network consists of five distribution centers located in Krotoszyn, Jastrowie, Wolbórz, Rzeszotary and Łobez. Its geographic range makes it possible to deliver fresh products to all of the stores in Dino’s network every day of the week.

At the end of September 2020 the Dino Group had 24.1 thousand employees.

The Company has been listed on the main floor of the Warsaw Stock Exchange since April 2017. Dino Polska S.A. is majority-owned by Polish capital.
